Among other things, you have the right to access your data, correct request the deletion of your data. Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data or request the restriction of processing. 

The provision of the required personal data by you is voluntary but is a prerequisite for us to provide certain services to you (e.g. account maintenance, sending a newsletter) or to perform a contract. We do not make individual decisions towards you based solely on automated processing (profiling), which would produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you.

What is the legal basis for processing personal data?

Personal data are collected and processed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (GDPR). The processing of personal data is also regulated by the national Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018 (Journal of Laws 2019, item 1781).

What data do we process?

Depending on the purpose and your preferences, we may process data such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, bank account number, IP address and, in the case of entrepreneurs, your VAT number and business address. In addition, we may process other personal data directed in correspondence to us.  For analytics purposes, we may also process data about the source of your visit to the Shop, the operating system and browser used to browse the Store, data about products viewed, time spent on the site, shopping carts abandoned, orders placed, activity in response to a newsletter, your age range, gender, approximate location, and interests (based on your online activity). 

The above data are provided to us as a result of activities such as: 

  • Use of the contact form
  • Sending correspondence directly to our e-mail address
  • Providing us with data during a telephone call,
  • Account registration in the Shop,
  • Placing an order in the Shop,
  • Newsletter sign-up,
  • Adding a product review (where this option is available)
  • Collection of other data for analytics by the Store software or tools listed in this Privacy Policy. 

For what purposes do we process your data?

We process data to the extent that it is relevant for the operation of our shop and store it for the period allowed by law. We process data provided by users when using the shop. 

  • Conclusion and performance of a contract - on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR, i.e. where the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.

  • Adding reviews and their verification - on the basis of article 6(1)(a) of GDPR - i.e. where the data subject has consented to the processing of his/her personal data for one or more specified purposes, 
  • Direct marketing on the basis of: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR - i.e. where the data subject has given his or her consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specified purposes or on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, i.e. where the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require the protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.
  • Sending of newsletters and operation of loyalty programmes - on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, i.e. where the data subject has consented to the processing of their personal data for one or more specified purposes.
  • Fulfilment of legal obligations, establishment and investigation of claims - on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, i.e. where processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation incumbent on the Controller, and on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, i.e. where processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.

We use tools such as Facebook Ads and Google Ads, whereby we can target adverts to specific groups based on interests, gender, age, occupation. These tools are described in detail in the cookie policy.

With whom do we share personal data?

We share personal data with other entities only to the extent that the data subject has consented to the processing, or when it is necessary for the performance of a contract or aligns with the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller. The entities cooperating with the shop include the web host, newsletter tool provider, CRM and invoicing system provider, accounting office, courier and transport companies, IT company providing services to the shop, online payment operators, banks, marketing tool providers, and other subcontractors. Additionally, we may share data with entities to whom we are obliged to provide your data under applicable legislation. In the case of analytics and statistics data, which is not personal data, it may be transferred to companies that commonly provide analytics, statistics and optimisation services, including the United States (e.g. companies: Google LLC, Meta Platforms Inc.).

Is data transferred to third countries or international organisations?

Some processing operations may involve the transfer of data to third countries or international organisations due to the use of tools that store personal data on servers located in third countries, particularly the USA. 

However, the providers of these tools ensure an adequate level of protection of personal data, in particular by subscribing to the Privacy Shield programme or by using standard contractual clauses. This assurance particularly applies to the services provided by Google Ireland Limited. 

What are your rights in relation to the processing of your personal data?

You have the right to:

  • request access to their personal data,
  • request the rectification of their personal data,
  • object to the processing of personal data,
  • request the deletion of their personal data,
  • request the restriction of the processing of personal data,
  • request the portability of personal data,
  • be informed about automated decision-making, including profiling, and the safeguards applied in connection with the transfer of such data outside the EU,
  • be informed about the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients of such data, 
  • be informed of your rights under GDRP, your right to lodge a complaint, the intended period of data retention or the criteria for determining that period, the source of the data, 
  • obtain a copy of their personal data.

Cookie policy

Entities whose cookies we use:

Google tools - Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Adsense, Google Tag Manager, and the Google-owned YouTube, provided by Google Ireland Limited(Registration Number: 368047 / VAT Number: IE6388047V), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We base our actions regarding the use of these tools on our legitimate interest in marketing using commonly used tools. From our perspective, data collected in relation to the use of these tools is not personal data due to anonymisation.

Google Analytics

We use the Google Analytics tool for analytics and statistics purposes to improve the performance of our website. 

The data collected in connection with the use of the tool is not of a personal nature due to anonymisation and includes an examination of the user's traffic on the site (information about the operating system, browser, pages and sub-pages visited, time spent on the site and on sub-pages, source of the site visit).

Google Ads

When you visit our website, remarketing cookies are left on your device which collect information about your activity on our website. The information collected is used to display advertisements on the Google network that correspond to your activities and interests. If you have given your consent to Google, this data may also be further processed by Google, e.g. to create target groups. 

If you do not wish to receive personalised adverts, it is possible to define your settings at myadcenter.google.com.

Google AdSense

Personalised advertisements may be displayed on our site as part of the AdSense network. Cookies are used to display advertisements based on visits and activity on our site or on other sites. 

Google Tag Manager

This tool allows traffic and user activity to be analysed using tags. This allows us to collect information on the effectiveness of advertisements, which contributes to the optimisation of our website and offer. 

YouTube

We use YouTube widgets on our website, which allow you to embed videos posted on YouTube. YouTube acquires cookies containing information about the videos played - in order to ensure the correct and safe provision of the service, as well as to improve it and for the purposes of personalising advertising. 

Pixel Meta 

We use marketing tools available through Facebook and provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.

A Meta pixel is a short code placed on a website to measure the effectiveness of advertisements based on analysis of users' actions on the site and to personalise ads. The purpose of the code is to display adverts to the right audiences, increase sales and measure ad performance. 

Pixel Meta uses cookies to record actions on the website - for example, traffic on the site, visits to specific pages, adding products to the shopping basket or making purchases. We analyse these actions to optimise the performance of the website and our offer.

Social media 

If we integrate a plug-in for a particular social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter)) into the website, the Controller of the respective service receives information about the visits to our website using the user ID. The Controller of the respective platform collects information on the browser used, date and time of the page visited. The Controller of the respective platform use this information to populate the full functionality of the plug-ins and to improve their services, as well as to personalise advertisements.

Server logs

Visiting and using the website involves sending requests to the server, which are recorded in so-called server logs. These contain, among other things, information about the user's IP address, date and time of the query, browser and operating system. 

Server logs are recorded and stored on the server. However, they are not tied to specific individuals using the site and are not intended to identify you - they serve only to administer the site and their contents are not disclosed to unauthorised persons.
